How will you commemorate Battle For Australia Day
Posted by History | 13/8/2009

This year on 2 September between 9.30am – 3.30pm at the Cenotaph in Martin Place Sydney there will be a special screening of exclusive interviews with veterans recorded especially to commemorate The Battle for Australia.

Entry is free and everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there but if you have other plans, we'd love to hear about them.

Why are there no commemerations in other capital cities? My Dad is 90, slogged it over the Kokoda track, and fought in the Solomons and New Guinea from 1942-1945. He has never marched in Anzac Day, and I feel that this Battle for Australia day is just right for him.
