Old Melbourne Gaol Tours

Victoria 's oldest surviving penal establishment provides an exhibition on 19th century gaol life, including the death masks and memorabilia of some of Melbourne 's most notorious criminals. The gaol was closed in 1929. Night performances by candlelight, follow a warder through the gaol, as he relates its sorry history and the stories of those who were hanged there.
